Virtual event

This is a virtual event. If you have questions about how to connect to the event, please contact the event host.

Join us for a special virtual program to learn how philanthropy is
fueling ground-breaking research at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.

Featuring:

  • Steve Leach, MD
Director, Dartmouth’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center
Preston T. and Virginia R. Kelsey Distinguished Chair in Cancer
  • Audrey H. Calderwood MD, MS
Director of the Comprehensive Gastroenterology Center
Associate Professor of Medicine and The Dartmouth Institute
  • Yolanda Sanchez, PhD
Professor of Molecular and Systems Biology
    Associate Director for Basic Sciences

Join Drs. Leach, Calderwood, and Sanchez for a virtual conversation as they discuss how the Friends of NCCC help fuel science that will change the world. Funds raised by the Friends and The Prouty make vital research possible by providing seed-funding to researchers to make discoveries, develop novel technologies to prevent cancer, and implement innovative cancer treatments.

A research team led by Dr. Calderwood was recently awarded a $32.7 million PCORI grant that focuses on the prevention of colon cancer in older adults. Dr. Calderwood received Prouty pilot funding in 2017 and 2019 to launch her novel idea which laid the groundwork for this grant—one of the largest grants Dartmouth cancer researchers have ever received. Join us to hear directly from her about her important work and how it will change lives.
