Course Description: Chronic pain has a profound impact on children’s function, mood, and quality of life. This course will engage participants in how to deliver practical, effective, multidimensional care for various types of pain conditions. It will examine the complex, biopsychosocial contributors to the experience of chronic pain and explore the integration of different treatments: pharmacologic, interventionalist, psycho-behavioral, physical and movement therapies, and complementary approaches. Mental health interfaces will be addressed throughout.
Schedule: Every other Tuesday from 12:00-1:00 pm, beginning April 20.
