In a world where everyone is trying to sell you something, the supermarket can be a pretty overwhelming place. But it doesn’t have to be! Join Heather Ashcraft, MS, RDN, LDN, Registered Dietitian at Cheshire Medical Center, and learn how to see through these advertising gimmicks, and common food misconceptions. Attending this presentation will help you learn to navigate the aisles with ease, save time and money, and make healthy food choices for you and your family’s needs.

Heather Ashcraft, MS, RDN, LDN, Cheshire Medical Center
After nearly 10 years in the heat of Atlanta where she worked in NICUs, acute care, and community health, Heather moved north to be closer to family. She has worked with Baystate, Hartford Healthcare, and Connecticut Children’s Hospital. Heather has degrees from Tufts, Life University, and Colorado State Universities. She has a broad range of experience with nutrition with academic focuses on nutrition and cancer, food allergies, and nutrition across the lifecycle. She loves being involved with her community and sharing her love of nutrition with others. Over the summers she cooks for a children’s camp, where she can inspire a love of vegetables to hundreds of children. Heather currently lives on the side of a mountain in Vermont where her 2 boys and their dog Ferdinand can play in the mud and grow vegetables.
