An exciting opportunity awaits, for individuals looking to grow within a career with great responsibility that requires safely working in a fast-paced, high-pressure, respectful environment. An Ophthalmic Assistant (OA) works alongside eye doctors, ophthalmologists, or optometrists, to provide patient care. OAs ensure providers have accurate and complete information that helps them diagnose and treat patients. Successful OAs are detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and are committed to providing exceptional patient care. The role requires the ability to focus, problem-solve, pay close attention to detail, have excellent listening and communication skills, and an underlying commitment to doing what is right for patient safety and well-being. We’re looking for individuals who have steadfast attention to detail, are strong communicators, work as a cooperative unit, and be committed to quality patient care.

The Ophthalmic Assistant Training Program prepares trainees for career opportunities in the Ophthalmology field and includes a general education component, a focus on professionalism, and quality patient care which complement the comprehensive skills-based specialty training.

To learn more, join us at one of our virtual information sessions on April 19th or May 4th.
