Pharmacy Technicians (PTs) work collaboratively with pharmacists, nurses, doctors, and insurers to support a positive patient experience.
The PT training program is full-time, 9 weeks long, and consists of classroom instruction and an in-pharmacy practicum. Selected individuals will be hired into a trainee role at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) in Lebanon, NH, will be paid a training wage, and earn credits towards their Associate’s Degree in Health Science at Colby-Sawyer College.
At the end of the training, students sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and are enrolled in a 2,000 hour US DOL Registered Apprenticeship.
Program graduates work in our Retail, Specialty or Inpatient Hospital Pharmacies. Training to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician is the first step on a progressive career ladder at D-H.
