We know children learn best through play, but they also are able to share thoughts or fears they may have in the same way. Creating a safe environment to explore some of the things they may see when they come to the hospital will impact future visits in a positive way. Cheshire Medical Center’s Teddy Bear clinic provides an engaging and positive experience to our youngest community members and their families.
Attending children should bring a favorite teddy bear or toy who can be “treated.” Extra stuffed animals will be provided for those who cannot bring one.
Stations for the Teddy Bears will include:
- Registration when they arrive
- Orthopedic casting
- Blood pressure and vital signs
- Immunizations
- X-Ray or MRI
- A routine check up
- And a table for open-ended play with items donated from Toy City in Keene.
TO REGISTER: Email Angela at aconnors@cheshire-med.com with the number of kids attending, their ages, and the names of parent/adults coming with them.
Registration is limited to 20 children and closes 4/27/23
Please check in at the West Entrance, next to the Orthopaedic department in the North Building.
This event is being held in North Conference Rooms 1 & 2.
