Designed to empower care partners to address issues and concerns associated with caregiving for someone with dementia, this educational series will cover a different topic each month. The sessions will provide an opportunity for caregivers to learn from and converse with experts in the field. Topics and speakers will change monthly based on what is current and relevant to caregivers in our support groups. See below the details of the speaker and topics for this month.
Why am I Grieving?
Presenter: Deadra Ashton, M.Div., BCC
Providing care for a loved one with dementia means facing a series of losses. Often we’re surprised by feelings of grief when our loved one is still with us. This session will help participants recognize the sources of those feelings and offer strategies for coping and finding meaning in them.
You will receive a zoom link for this class 60 minutes before the class starts. The zoom link will be sent directly from the Aging Resource Center to the email you registered with.
