Leader: Kim Wenger Hall
Stained glass is a technique that uses light, shape, and color in a simple, bold, and satisfying way. In this session, we’ll create a beautiful “faux stained glass” collage using paper, coloring items, and glue. The dog days of summer give us lots of inspiration for subject matter: beaches, gardens, the sun, birds, and more.
Perhaps look at some examples of stained glass with your springtime theme of choice
Important: have reference photos of the items that you might like to capture in your creation. Your design will need to be simple, without too many small details.
Supplies you’ll need:
- Sketch paper
- Pencil & Eraser
- Ruler
- Pens (thick and thin black Sharpies are great)
- Paper: Large heavyweight drawing paper, watercolor paper, or poster board
- Coloring supplies: crayons, watercolors, pastels, markers, colored paper
