Leader: Kim Wenger Hall
Join DHMC’s Visual Artist Kim Wenger Hall for these informal virtual drawing classes. No experience required – just eagerness to have fun and get creative!
We’ll start with an exploration of drawing still life, keeping it simple to start. This is a great way to hone your skills, and you can get really creative in making it your own.
Supplies you’ll need:
Sketch paper (like printer paper)
Large drawing paper
Pencils – drawing pencils are great – a range from soft/black to hard/gray
Drawing media of choice: pastels, charcoal, colored pencils
Ruler or straight edge Eraser (soft erasers are great)
Preparations to make:
Have a simple “still life” set up for yourself – maybe a bowl of fruit, a vase, or plant and crockery. Place this where your still life won’t be disturbed while you’re drawing it and will be in easy viewing range of your drawing table.
This program meets eight Mondays (5/17, 24, 6/7, 14, 21, 28, 7/12 and 19 – no class on 5/31 and 7/5) from 10 am to noon. When you register for the first date (5/17), you are enrolling in the full program.
You will receive a zoom link for this class 60 minutes before the class starts. The zoom link will be sent directly to the email you registered with.
