Leader: Audrey Calderwood, MD, MS, FACG, FASGE

Dr. Audrey Calderwood will share an update on the current guidelines for colorectal cancer screening in older adults and monitoring in older adults who have had colon polyps.

She will also introduce an exciting new research study that her team is conducting at Dartmouth focused on older adults (age 70-82) with a history of colon polyps and seeks to offer an alternative to colonoscopy with an at home test.

The study is funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and is looking to enroll patients who have had colon polyps to participate at Dartmouth and several other sites throughout the country.
