The Savvy Caregiver program is a six-week evidence-based training program for caregivers of someone with Alzheimer’s or related dementias. In this class, caregivers are encouraged to learn to develop and modify their caregiving strategies in order to accomplish their role of caregiving- which includes the contented involvement of the person they care for.
The class builds information and knowledge about the illness, develops skills to manage daily life and fosters a new attitude towards caregiving.
The meetings will be held virtually on Tuesdays, 2-4 pm – January 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, and 20. The program is most beneficial and allows people to share stories in a safe environment when people attend the entire program.
